I don't think there's any way to combine food items unfortunately. You can sell them.

Recipes for cooking would be great :)

Things like the Spices and Cloth bundles you can find are just there to show that it was highly valued items in those times, which is why they usually sell for a decent bit of Groschen.

It would be nice if they could be used and cooking had it's own little activity, but we can only hope either the Devs expand on those parts of the Game or Modders do.

It would be good if meat could be combined with 1 or more spices when cooking to produce a unique item like Saffron Chicken with extra properties when consumed and a selling price in excess of the combined ingredient's values.

Yeah, seems weird they would goo all out with the potion and smithing mini games but ignore simple cooking, especially as they have added these ingredients into the game...
Cooking was cut out of the game in the late stages of the development - the game has skill for it in the game files, and several NPCs could teach Jindro recipes, but they would just add survival skill XP.
I would like to hope... yeah, that was a leap... this will be in some DLC. If they are going to try to follow the full single-player rpg arc on this, that is.

The game really doesn't have cooking recipes. The kitchens use spices. Your cooking skills involve roasting, smoking and drying. Spices are used by the kitchen staff to make those incredible stews that give you 10, 15 or 25 points of nourishment. ;)
