All that said I don´t think the DLCs will be in any way bigger or more interesting then those in KCD 1 but I hope they won´t do any bugfixes for the base game within the DLCs.
I am little bit optimistic, because for example in soundtrack section they really stepped up in this sequel, so while I agree with, that it's not likely that the DLCs will be bigger, I don't think that it's not possible.
Now to your wish about opening those big forested junks of the map in southeast and southwest, well I am sceptical, I think the only DLC, which has potential to fulfill this wish, is Brushes with death. The Legacy of forge probably will open some locations in Kutná hora. And Mysteria Ecclesia will obviously open The Sedlec monastery.
- Home owning or even settlement management like KCD1. (with quests and an actual storyline this time)
-> Also dating? Oddly completely absent in KCD2. No spouse and only getting a partner at the very end of the story is a real downer.
- Armorsmithing and better cooking
2) Are you sure that we're talking about the same DLCs?
a) The Amorous Adventures of Bold Sir Hans Capon added 3 quests, 1 of which is quite long (No Rest for the Wicked), and two of which are top-5 quests in the game (No Rest for the Wicked and Game of Throws). Also, Game of Throws is crucial for the global plot of the franchise. The third added quest - Honeyed Words - is quite short indeed, but is the funniest quest in the game, and definitely hits the top-10 best in my hit-parade. Even by standards of modern AAA games, it’s a great deal for 10 bucks.
b) "From Ashes" is very important for character development, the main quest, and is an interactive encyclopedia of medieval life. Yes, it's quite short, but the emotions it gifts are much stronger than any modern Assassin's Creed game.
c) "Band of Bastards" main quest takes about 5-10 hours to fulfill or 5-10% of the base game, is very important from lore and character development's perspective, and again gives more emotions than most modern games. For me, they were mostly negative, because in Hagen's squad, I hated everyone except the Stone, but still. Also, add the best armor kit in the game
d) "A Woman's Lot" - again, two great stories which are crucial for both plot and character development, both quests are definitely in my top-10, and DLC itself adds tons of content besides them (new dates with Teresa, recruitable Mutt, e.t.c.)
3) I’d bet that KCD2 DLCs would have at most 50 hours of pure gameplay, to make a minimal beatable time of 200 hours. Also, because KCD2’s main plot is much worse than KCD1’s, they would be far from the emotions that The Amorous Adventures of Bold Sir Hans Capon or A Woman's Lot provoke in us. I’d assume that it would be slightly better than typical modern DLC.
