I've just done it, I was 160 hours into the game but still on the first map because I like to take my time and really immerse myself in the world.
It was a little bit hard to do and I wasn't looking forward to playing through the prologue again but once you dive in I don't think it's as bad as you think it's going to be.
I'm just creeping about the pond with Hans at the moment so I've got a bit more prologue to do but I've been enjoying it more than I expected.
What I would say is that unless you plan on finishing the game on Normal before doing an HC playthrough, then it's best to just 'bite the bullet' and start HC right away, what's the point of continuing for a bit more on normal.
If you like playing HC just do it right away.
Numbskull- I think this is a 'must have' for me to slow down progression.
Hangry Henry- adds realism to survival, on normal I hardly ever have to eat.
Menace- to add a bit of jeopardy to committing crime, again extra realism.
None of these really 'gimp' Henry in any vital way so I feel I'm adding some realism without making it annoyingly difficult.
