On my end, it's been the most stable release since the PS1 era :D - no crap
Been playing for over 400 hours now, 2 crashes
And since you are running on a 12900K, it's not a raptor lake toast issue either
Some folks reported mem leaks but on 32GB you shouldn't run into that issue either - on 16GB though, I'd ask what the fk you are doing anyway ;p
Bottom line - you shouldn't run into any issues
both of my drives are SSD, i dont know who the hell buy HDD anymore.
For Storage, HDDs are super
Everything else, nVMEs - even SSDs are outdated as ♥♥♥♥.
So, don't bother about the crappy talk - game is super stable - I'll vouch for it - unless of course you mod it and/or have a broken setup ;)
32GB DDR4 3200MHZ
RTX 3060TI FE
The game runs extremely fine at 1440P

It's not anywhere near running hot. Why would it toast itself?
I mean maybe if I were playing at 1440p and Ultra, which is something I'm sure it could handle. But 1080p and High? I'm not sure I agree, or even see where you're coming from.
Basically - when you send an instruction through a CPU it has certain gateways, and when you pump too many watts through it, that gateway is toasted afterwards - since there's several of it, Intel assumed that it would never happen - but it did.
So what happens is that you play games, and the CPU sends out instructions and toasting a lane, then another, and another until it's completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥.
Won't notice it at first but play a few months with a Raptor Lake CPU and it really turns into garbage.
Then they finally acknowledged it with a Microcode Update - but if your CPU is already torched.... well, it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥
So, that's that :)
I must be one of the fortunate ones, then, since I've been using this since immediately after the 13700F came out, at the limits of what it could do - in more demanding games than KCD2 like EU4 which really taxes the CPU - and still no issues, 27 months in. "A few months" has long since passed.
The time is slowly approaching when I will upgrade, but that is because I want to upgrade.
Of course, it might decide to give up the ghost tomorrow 🤣 but I've had my money's worth from it.
Had to give up on 2D Tavern Sims because of it hah
But hey, if yours works fine, I'm happy for you - but why'd you want to upgrade anyway? ♥♥♥♥'s OP as ♥♥♥♥
