Another annoying " dress me " quest.
Kuttenberg..to see the king, you once again gotta buy some clothing to wear and see the king.

Who thought these quests would be a good idea ? Its just annoying and does not add anything to the game.

And how do you imagine being undercover at the event if you're dressed as a noble/man-at-arms/beggar, e.t.c.? The quest itself is badly written - if the player passed side-quests before, half of the council knows his face. But party mechanics were abandoned at the early development stage, so we cannot send Matush instead of Jindro, for example.

P.S: This quest is also historically inaccurate. Only the royal cupbearer was able to pour the wine into the king's cup in any medieval kingdom since 11-12 century.

Oh I imagined it just fine, maybe with dialogue, disguise mechanics, or literally any engaging gameplay.
But yeah, let’s keep pretending mandatory dress-up fetch quests are peak immersive design.

I didn't find it annoying. I think they game is missing a lot by lack of proper disguise mechanics. Henry can't even use mask or helmet with a visor to hide his face. No point in dressing up in the woods and raiding a village incognito - they will magically know it was Henry. But you go for such event and they suddenly don't recognize you. Until they do, in some quests and dialogues.

Last is fair point, but this isn't so much about quests but about feature.

IRL, it would be a very fast gameover of Jindřich being hanged. Serving drinks and food to the king was highly regulated, and imposing attempts were regarded as assassination attempts (so hanging was a light option). So, from a historical accuracy perspective, Warhorse is quite lenient towards players.

But the quest is so unnecessary both from story continuation and general vibes that I completely agree with you - it's not needed. Just because of different purposes.

Yes, it just drags time once again without contributing to anything.
