Current sítuation of the reforged Radzig's sword?
Ok, I have tried super hard to do it perfectly. No overheating, smashing with hammer only when the sword has yellow colour, no bad smashes with hammers, almost all my smashes were perfect, just one half good smash (few sparkles and the sound was combination of good smash's sound and bad smash's sound) and most of the time in whistling mode and still I got only gold quality Radzig's sword.

So is it possible to get Radzig's sword in reforged form only to quality level?

And second question, is this bug or are we not to supposed to get "by myself forged weapon buff" in case of reforged Radzig's sword?

Technical detail, I am still on my first run and last quest I had finished was "Exodus", so please, try your best to avoid spoilers.

1) The bug that made any 1,5-handed sword impossible to forge is fixed in 1.2. So, it's possible to reforge Racek's sword in general now.
2) However, the bug with Racek's sword is still there. If you reforge Racek's sword into Reforged Racek's sword, it would have tier 3 displayed but 199 damage until you will sharpen in with kit. Then it will become 177 by damage (which is exactly the 3rd level of Reforged Racek's sword), which is still +20, but not enough. But IDK what will happen with a sword if it is sharpened via a grinding wheel - I don't use a longsword in combat, and 177 is more than enough for civil suits.

Well my theory is that the prediction of 199 damage is counting with "by myself forged weapon buff", because I sharpened the sword and it stayed in 177 damage and then as I mentioned before it doesn't have this "by myself forged weapon buff", this must be bug right?

Sorry for taking down your theory on takeoff, but no, you're not right)

Every arms, armor, and clothing item in the game has basic properties, and quality tiers or "self-forged weapons" are midificators added to them.

Racek's and Jindro's ordinary and reforged swords are different items:
Reforged: https://inara.cz/kingdom-come-2/weapon/610/
Orfinary: https://inara.cz/kingdom-come-2/weapon/1624/

As you can see 177 is higher than stock 172, which means that "self-forged weapons" buff is included in my copy of the game.

They have different ID and properties. Somehow, the reforging of the swords adds it custom properties, which are different from DB's. Hence, after repairing the sword with kit - DB's properties are adjusted back as they should be.

By most chances, the reforging of the sword was made before the modificators system was added. On the early development stage, there should be no quality tiers, so the script of reforging of Racek's sword just adds preset properties into game properties.

The whole situation could have been avoided if Warhorse stuck to the canon of KCD1 - in the end, Racek had already gifted the sword to Jindřich. But that simple retconning started the chain of events.

Well but I really checked it and after making the reforged Radzig's sword the "by myself forged weapon buff" doesn't show up, only the "sharpening" buff.
