Is this game less tedious than the first one

I am playing through the first game right now and i find it extremely annoying and boring for the most. Dont get me wrong i still think the game really shines at some point via the interesting narrative, immersive gameplay and etc. But with that there is a bunch of clunky combat (only when theres more than 1 opponent, in duels its fun) and extremely annoying quests where you either have to do some busy work like herbs or just a simple fetch quest with the most basic rewards. so i just want to know if the sequel removes these flaws or if its just like the first game, because i really feel like the game could be something special.

Hm, not an easy answer to this as some would say it is more ot the same old, other would insist KCD 2 is much better in every aspect. The biggest problem is what you think of what is tedious and what not.
Lets put it this way: Before can even think of beeing a strong, independet Henry in the second game you have to level all your skills again because there is no savegameimport and due to an accident Herny starts all over in every skill. To get back the qualitys it takes time and questing and some surely are tedious by someones definition.

If you want to buy the second part for testing try to get a relativly unfinished savegame regarding quests beforehand because the tutorial, if you are not skipping the cutscenes, would eat up the two hour limitation of steam regarding a refund and you won´t accomplish anything at all because Henry is as weak as he can be due to the accident.

What i found tedious was mostly stuff like quests having you get some specific item for them or riding across the map just to quickly talk to someone

KCD1 vs KCD2 clunkyness is like ARMA 2 vs ARMA 3. ARMA 3 is still clunky, but it's much less clunky than ARMA 2 is
