I wasn't able to T4 Radzig's sword, haven't heard of anyone making it, as for whether it's a bug or not - not sure if Warhorse even mentioned it, so no idea.
Same as above - heard about it all over the internet, but didn't try to check
It's not a bug, it's intended. Radzig's sword at T3 is still literally the second strongest weapon you'll pick up for a long time, it's skated me through the entire game alongside the "Sword of Sir Valentine", combine it with being able to utilise the powerful sword combos/Master Strike capability? It's actually foul being handed this so early on, even when I tried to put it down for other weapons I'd end up right back at it, I think it's the only weakness this game has is that the incentive to use heavy weapons/poleaxes simply doesn't exist while they're uncraftable and essentially lacking in comparison to the swords. But I imagine future updates/DLC will straighten that out.
To TL;DR - T3 Radzig's is already overpowered for even the late game, You don't need it to be T4 for anything more than some form of OCD.
I am close to finding out as I believe I am on the last mission/(s), when I complete I will report back as I did, infact, Reforge to T3. It would be a bit unfair to hand you a new recipe then cuck you for daring to try it out when almost everyone will. I don't personally see why the devs would make a distinction but I imagine there'd be a mod already to "Fix" this if it was truly a thing. My best guess to why people say it's a thing is they don't pick the right dialogue options, as you actually have to pick the right option or you will not be given Henry's sword, if you pick the wrong one you do not get the sword.
Even if the final cutscene plays out with Radzig handing you the sword, after the ending I did not have the sword anymore at all.
I have read that depending on what you tell your dad as a final choice, it changes what happens to the sword. It might also be some huge bug
This isn't to say it always will disappear for you but it might be true that if you reforged it you'll be ♥♥♥♥♥♥ if you wish to get the T4 version.
If this happens to you you can use the following console commands;
#player.soul:AddPerk("2dd0b89c-4e60-405b-8d82-04e9538f4b54") (Grants you the recipe to reforge the sword)
wh_cheat_addItem c76ac5ec-7600-47e0-b256-e982cfed06b4 (Gives you the sword)
My conclusion is that you can improve it to level 3, with what I consider is the highest stats of any level 3 sword 172 slash (i think) vs 166 slash for a level 4 broad longsword, but you cant do level 4 forging until it become's Henry's Sword.
Its pretty comparable to most of the other high tier long swords, with roughly a 15 point slash spread between them, but personally I feel more comfortable fighting with a high tier sword I've fully crafted myself, and with the focus towards stab damage found in manuevres and master strokes perhaps thebroad longsword the edge (pun not intended).
