I need help with a small translation about Daniel Vávra

Someone mentioned in another forum that the CEO of Warhorse said in this video that "he included gay and black characters to avoid being accused of being racist or homophobic, not because he wanted to."

It sounds like a lie to me, and I would like to know if someone can understand the video and tell me if it supposedly says that or if it's manipulation or an invention. Thank you.

Not in that interview. No.

The closest is explaining that there's an optional choice but doesn't go into detail about that.

There is a funny moment where he asks Vavra, "Can I ____ everyone?" "No" "Well, that sucks."

The video can autogenerate Czech. You can turn on Google's translator after that. It does a very decent job.

The way he was talking on twitter prior to release there's no way in hell he's admitting characters were forced in against his will.

I think Musa is parody and not an actual attempt at writing a good character though. I think he's a misguided attempt to take the piss out of the media around the first game.

Gay stuff I think he wanted for more genuine reasons. I think they thought it would have gone down better than it did. They thought they were BG3.

I am Czech so i understand to Mr. Vávra and he said it like that, and he certainly meant it like that, the homosexual options in the game are definetly because Warhorse don't want to be blaimed about LGBTQ discrimination.

11:54 :-) and they don't talk about black people, just say there are gay people too, so the game is not sexist

The moderator asks at 11:55 if there are girls in the game, and Mr. Vávra replies that there are the boys too, and by that he means homosexuals, I speak Czech very well, it's my national language and I can read between the lines too.

Warhorse was sold to some of the worst people in the world. I feel especially bad for Czech fans of this series. I still love the first game and probably always will, but Vavra definately sold out for that $$$, despite how he likes to present himself.
