first noticed this when trying to donate to the beggar woman after leaving the pillory in trosky, later realized you cant donate to ANY beggars in the game

Everyone would expect an extra achievement or an quest if you give someone money, thats why you can give the one "beggar" in the pub next to the smith some money but you get it back and an extra later when you meet him again.

Thats why i can understand why there is no option.
Spoiler:
There is a mission where you can donate food later, if you want to be the samariter
You can drop items and people will pick them up,

I did always think it was weird you couldn't give money as alms considering the context and setting. Especially in the first game where it was your former neighbours begging on the streets.
I agree. I would like to be able to distribute alms.

Btw if you look around the inns on the main road leading to Kuttenburg you can find her again and have a conversation. Just if you were curious.
feels unfinished, lots of beggars but u cant give them anything i dont think it would be too difficult to add the comerce menu to give them food or money for exchange of a thanks, would make it more immersive. And as they said there is a quest later on in which u can give just one type of food to them. Idk weird decision
I missed that quest. Do you remember who the quest giver is or what the quest name is?

cenek the leader of the thiefs in kutna hora (kutenberg). They are in south east of the city u should have like 3 or 4 quest markers on it because u can fight and refight some people
Thanks very much.

I agree, make it so you can give the beggars money. What is the sense of seeing them with their hands stretched out and not being able to do anything?

I had the same problem in the first game. you can steal money for alms through quests for the skalitz refugees but you can't just give them anything directly. It's weird.

Add me to the list of people who want to be able to give the beggars money.

Yep, agree completely.
I often drop food or a few groschen for Bara because she helped me out when I had nothing and she does pick it up.
"Ooh! What's that? Come to Mama!" she says.

I'd like to think of the lore-wise why Henry wouldn't give. I mean the points others make are reasonable in the game, beggars only ask for more and more, if you give them somthing, they see you as a source.

Still it would be nice to donate and get a tiny reputation increase amongst local civilians.
Yea, it's awkward since you can find certain non-beggars along the street

And even in the quest where you need to hand out sausages, it only works for some, it's kinda dumb
