Old Kutna and Father Marian quest
Ive stopped in a town and there a quest marker with that fellow Father Marian , but when i talk to him there absolutely no quest other that asking for a pilgrimmage that alot of priest can offer. ( also some dead cow there around , I may have past super fast across this town with peeble once , while going to finish another quest, and was seeing a couple of townfolk talking together from afar )

is it another quest design messed up by triggering an event when I pass closed by ( and now unable to triger it / start it ) ?

Just ran into this same issue! I was riding out from Kuttenberg and decided to expand my map. Passed through Old Kutna for the first time and saw people gathered around the dead cows. Father Marian was shouting something like "there must be a reasonable explanation" so I went to talk to him, but only got a prompt about improving my reputation. I'd love to hear of anyone's found a fix for whatever this quest would be
Well I don't know the specific fix for this problem, I didn't have this issue, I was able without trouble to do this quest. So I will just say, how did I started this quest, I was riding on horse in early evening (I think 18-20th hour to old Kutna, I have looked at, who specifically is the quest giver - father Marian, he was on the road at the west end of the village and I saw him coming to villager standing next to slaughtered cows and I heard their conversation and I waited few moments to get knowledge if this is just random talk or quest specific talk. And when I realised it's quest specific, I decided to talk to them. Unfortunately I don't remember, whether I pressed e to talked to villager or father Marian. And quest continued without trouble...

That's all I got, I hope it helps. The only thing I will say, count on full day needing to spend on this side quest. So watch out and don't get into "quests crossfire" and plan acordingly.

The quest trigger conversation isn't bugged, but you HAVE TO talk with Father Marion as soon as you even enter anywhere near Old Kutna. Its kind of stupid ik. However, if you just look online where the mine is where he sends you, you can just approach it and skip the quest start entirely.

The quest trigger conversation IS bugged, I spoke to him the moment I got there, when he was standing near the dead cow, and had no option for the quest. Only a pilgrimage.
Just ran into this issue. I reloaded, and kept a safe distance from the site of the dead cows until all of the townspeople "got into place" around the cows, then got close enough to allow the conversation to trigger. Once Father Marion and the townspeople were done talking, I was able to start the quest with Father Marion.
Same problem here. I don't know if I've passed through the town in auto, but surely I didn't attend the coversation. Now, the mission can't be started and the people don't repeat the loop. Does anyone know how to solve this? If it's not important for the story or any trophy, I think I would pass.

Head the same problem. Spent ages trying to get the whole peasants and murdered cows to trigger without luck. At some point I even watched the farmer owning the cows standing right next to them, repairing the fence as if nothing happened.

Anyway, if you want to do the quest (it's not essential in any way, but it IS an interesting one), you can just go out west a bit to the mining area, where you'll find an old mine shaft (Google it for exact location) that stinks (Henry will say so), then step on it.

In my game, Father Marian sprinted over to the scene of the dead cows as soon as I got close, yelled something, then casually walked back to the church. Once he got back to the church, him and Vladimir had a long distance argument. Then I could start the quest. Don't talk to the father until the argument finishes, or at least until it starts. Interacting with him while he is traveling is what broke it for me.

Just dropping this here for anyone else with this issue. Seems like the Father's destination to start the conversation with Vladimir is bugged.
I found a way to complete it even if its not activated. If you go to the West of that village, where there not much trees since they are cut from mine silver operation, youll found a old hole for a silver mine shaft and if you trie to jump into that hole a cutscene will happen and... when you finish everything you kind of triggering and finishing the quest in same time. and you find out what happen there in same time.
there gonna have also some drawing around the entry of the hole onto the wooden boards

Did this and was finally able to get the quest completed, nothing else worked for me.
Thanks for the tip ;)

Yeah its a bit of a pain to start. If you know where the entrance to the mine is for the quest you can go ahead and start it and everything will work from there. I think there is thing you do when you enter the town the first time that messes this quest's starting point up. Very annoying and I hope that they fix it before I leave the first map in my current playthrough.
