Overall, the combat against multiple enemies is easier in KCD2 as long as you have appropriate skill level and use a sword. Sword is best weapon for these fights as you can fish for master strike opportunities and quickly dispose of few enemies to make the fight more even.
This is not my recollection of KCD1 engagements with multiple enemies. Those fights were usually just you getting swarmed and bodied to a point where you could barely swing at anyone without being mauled from all sides. KCD2 definitely adjusted AI to be less aggressive and engage less aggressively. You can still get surrounded if you are not careful or get stuck on some environment but it is far less common than in KCD1.
Well thats not my expiernce with this game, I get attacked by every single of them no matter how much I go back, its never 1 o 1 for me
Targeting is pretty simple when you learn how to use their version of tab targeting or use the lock and release. The soft lock is a little wonky but easier to use for a hit and run engagements.
Well still, I just encounter 3 people on the road and no matter how far I go back all three alwys attack at the same time there is like only 5 seconds where I have a 1o1
An order of magnitude is usually a log10 function which means you should be able to one-shot any "boss", but, yes, it is usually easier.
However, sometimes, due mainly to awkward player placement, fighting off three can be a hassle.
Just imagine the enemies would be player controlled. You could be the most skilled in KCD swordfighting, one of them would just tank you and the other move behind you and bash your head in.
If you need help then train Mutt. Mutt it was very helpful early game for me.
