The Jamaican miners of kuttenberg
I'm sure it's already been said but man the missions with the miners of kuttenberg are so hard to take seriously with the accents.

I keep waiting for one of them to say bomboclaat.

They're Geordies...... from the north east of England. Alternatively, they might be from somewhere like Workington or Whitehaven (Jam-Eaters) from the very north west of England. Either way.... no where near Jamaica.
As somebody who grew up in England in the 80s/90s (not in the north of England), this is the kind of TV show I was subjected to and never thought they were Jamaican.

I think Jimmy Nail would be surprised to learn of his Jamaican heritage.

I'm also from England. The kuttenberg miners sound like they're speaking jive. They don't sound like the video you posted either. They sound like they're trying to do that accent and it's coming out jamaican.

I don't think so. I just assume they're speaking in dialect.
Geordies. I dunno why people think they sound Jamaican.

They're just using some mining jargon or something. It's not Jamacian lol.
I notice that the Miners refer to each other as "marra". I don't know if that's a Geordie thing, but from what I learned from my Cumbrian mate over 20 years ago, it's certainly a Cumbrian thing.

Either way, in an international release of KCD2, Warhorse probably shouldn't have had characters speaking in an accent and dialect of English that's so obscure, even most people in England would be confused by it..... let alone people from other parts of the anglosphere.

There's enough consistency with accents in the game, it's obviously deliberate.
Those miners were great. Lol.

Eh, I wouldn't get caught up too much on it. The voice acting is pretty damn good compared to a lot of games. LOL

I mostly agree... with the exception of that Inn Keeper at the beginning of the game in Troskowitz. Her accent was all over the place:

- Yorkshire
- Irish
- Jamaican (ironically).
