Problem with Ars Dimicatoria.

So I'm doing the quest from the title. Now I have to only fight Arnae the German. But when I try to fight with him, he tells me only to "Take out that steel Heinrich" - or something similar. I don't have any additional weapon besides the one I'm currently using. I guess I need a training sword they gave me during the quest initial fight but I dont have it already - sold it. Tried to buy another one, but no swordsman is selling it. What do I do now?
