My thoughs after alchemy in KCD2 vs KCD1
The introduction of perishable ingredients meant that I hardly use alchemy at all throughout the game, because to create a decent potion you have to fly all over the map to find fresh herbs. Additionally, the witch's potion is missing compared to the first game, which is sad because it deprives us of the possibility to play with intoxicated NPCs.

just need the secret of equilibrium and you can make 5 henry's level potion with dried herbs
Nah that's not true. Fresh herbs are only necessary early on, with the right perks the recipe keeps caring less and less about the herbs being fresh.

You can also buy (or steal) ingredients, almost every alchemist has a chest waiting to be opened.
For instance:
Take nettles which you can find pretty much everywhere

Lower the cauldron

Immediately grind up 2 dried Belladonna, throw them in

Wait 21, 22, 23 up the Cauldron, pour

You still get Henry's Saviour Schnapps

If you don't have certain perks you still get strong saviour schnapps.
In first game I always had bunch of all of them to craft potion whenever I need to, now it is discouraging at best and I mostly skip that option at all.

What do you mean?
I mean finding out I can only make weaker version because I have dried herbs is pointless mechanic. Games does not have to be relalistic in every way possible to be fun.

Oh I see - well once you have certain perks this won't matter anymore.

For certain recipes for instance it requires one fresh herb, the rest can be dried up ones, you still get a perfect result
And even if all of them are dried herbs, you'll get 6 strong potions out of it
Thanks for advices I got lot of perk points to distribute but because I was not doing lot of alchemy I still can't unlock all of them there.

No worries. All you have to do is just get a bunch of sage and chamomile in Troskovitch since there are a bunch right there by the alchemy bench and make a ton of chamomile decoction, sell them to the merchant and the alchemist right there and you'll level up quick.

You don't need a single fresh herb and can still make Henry potions and even 6 of them per batch.
Take the perk secrets of equilibrium 1 and you don't need fresh herbs, if you want to take secrets of matter to make more potions just take the perk (forgot the name) that kicks out at midnight.
Midnight to 4am is enough to make a lot of potions but it's not even necessary, as long as you start the brewing session between those times you can keep crafting for as long as you want without loosing the buff. As long as you don't step away from the alchemy bench you can keep going. This perk also makes fresh herbs irrelevant.
Hrm, thing is - alchemy is a really money-maker early on. I mean, coming from KCD1 where one is forced to do alchemy in the monastery it comes sorta natural to me :D
I love the new system

It's just that it's one of the easiest skills so...... hmmm

Thank I'll try that out, I just generally meant it was not like this in first game, there was progress to unlock perks to do potions easier, make them more at once or even skip whole process if I remember correctly.
Just brew up a frew more cupcakes, the skill progression is so simple - you'll get the perks in no time ;)
