Hardcore Mode - The Real Challenge is not Combat. It is the Map
Together with only 1,3% of the people i am one few that has beaten KCD 1 in Hardcore mode, but i did not finish it on normal because i found it a little easy and not challenging.

I have to tell you, the real hardship of hardcore and why people does not beat it is not combat or anything else, the real and only challenge is the lack of char's pointer on the map, sometimes you can get lost for half an hour on the map trying to figure out where you are.

For KCD 2 PLEASE add a feature to ask any npc (or at least most of them) where we are or something like a big yellow spot on the map that starts to dimish as you level survival , or at least leave the North South East West on the HUD, or any other solution, otherwise it will be like the first one, better game overall but a nightmare to go from point a to point b.

Also, just imagine doing the last section of the "storm" quest without a pointer.

PS: I known in KCD 1 you can do the bird quest exploit and use the traps as pointer, i did not do it, but also i did not see something similar in KCD 2 so far.

Yes +1 -especially with how much bigger the maps are
+1 from a fellow Hardcore Henry.

Some form of rudimentary compass would be a welcome addition.
Also, currently the only "option" we have is looking what time is it, and looking where the shadow is being cast, so you know if you are facing East or West, Nort and South is not possible.

Maybe add some stars in the sky when dark so we can navigate like the ancient mariners, maybe the ♥♥♥♥♥ can teach us this somehow , maybe also cross it with the survival skill somehow, or let us by a compass in the trader (even if it is expensive). From what i recall the compass arrived in europe around 1200~1300

Agreed. I wish there were an inbetween like a hard mode that only makes combat, consequences for crimes and the economy more challenging.
