How to successfully perform combos?
Ok, I finally learnt all tools for combat, I am able to dodge, feint, master strike, but I still struggle with combos.

I am able sometimes to perform it, but it's more trial and error, even if I try to do it after successfull feint.

So any advices or is it really trial and error?

they are just quite janky. They can be interrupted by anything and the timing isn't very precise so they will just whiff in to normal swings instead of the combos.

It is not clear from OP post what is the issue?

Do you have problems to pull off combos in practice or is it the issue doing it in heat of combat?

The first issue would be with learning the timing of swings and switching attacking side to pull combo. The other issue would be with enemies interrupting your combos by perfect strikes, dodges or Master Strikes.

I play KCD2 (and 1 as well) on a controller so I only focus on simpler combos as I'm not good at pulling off more complex combos. I like the overall feel of the game when playing with controller but melee combat is definitely more responsive on KBM.

Pulling combos in real combat is not depending on just your input but also your opponent.

Above quote is not true, combo attacks can be interrupted by perfect blocks, master strikes or dodge (this is more related to timing of the attacks as you must hit target to continue combo so if you just strike air, the combo will be interupted).

There is quite a few perks that can help with pulling off combos--there is one that makes consequent hits to be harder to block if you hit unprotected area first, you want to take the one perk improving your feints as that is always good way to start your attack and few other.

I also find it much easier to pull off combos with fast weapons, ie. short swords. The slower is your weapon, the more time you give your opponent to interrupt you.

Lastly, if your character skills are significantly higher than your opponent stats, you will have easier time hitting them and pulling off combos.

One way or the other, combos are not something you use every chance you get. I mostly rely on initial Master Strike to start the combat and feints. Combat encounter with a single enemy in mid-game rarely last longer than 2 or 3 strikes so I do not rush to finish it or spam attacks.

Both but it's more prevalent in Real combat

You kinda don't and pray to Jesus Christ that you luckily do a combo. Just use feint or master strike and you'll be fine.

This is how I do combos in KCD2, which I learned from playing hardcore from KCD1.

1. Aim for the first direction of the combo. This is best done after a master strike.
2. Hit
3. Listen for connection (armor/sword clink, direct hit to body, etc...)
4. As soon as you hear the connection, aim for the next direction of the combo
5. Repeat steps 2-5 for all steps in the combo

For example, the first combo
1. Aim right
2. Hit
3. When connected, aim left (if not combo fails)
4. Hit
5. When connected, aim right
6. Hit: the combo will complete and will not be blocked

There are mods that can tweak how combos are done or easier to switch to another enemy but also can change mouse sensitivity so it can be easier to control combos.

Don't bother, it's not worth it.
Master strikes are also overrated.
Just pump craftsmanship to 16 or more, get the best sword recipe you can find, make a tier 4 murder-machine and proceed to kill anything in 1-2 hits.

Some do not like using the mouse to change combat stances or think it feels clunky. Some other games that also use combat stance indicators use the keyboards arrow keys.

Here is a mod that lets you change combat stances and attack with the arrow keys:
Arrow Keys Combat (Arrow keys for stance and attack) - Nexus Mods

Here are some other mods that can simplify combat or help with quality of life things. (Some prefer using Arrow keys for combat or rather the game auto Battle Cry or use Taunts) These mods can help do that.

Here is a mod that will simplify the combat
Simple Combat (Auto Perfect Block - Master Strike - Evade - Riposte)
https://www.nexusmods.com/kingdomcomedeliverance2/mods/845

Using the chat menus during combat for Battle Cry and Taunting seems unintuitive, this mod will automatically do a Battle Cry for you as well as taunt back at the enemies during combat. It also has a version where you can make the Middle Mouse Button also work for Battle Cry.
Henry does a Battle Cry when attacked (Activates Perk Battle Cry for you)

If you will be taking them out with ranged weapons here is a custom reticle mod and can also be used in contests/competitions:
Custom Reticles (Move and adjust reticle for accurate aim)

I don't manage to pull off combos, you're usually faced with 3+ enemies and can't concentrate enough on one target
Plus it's hard to do and often useless past mid game as you kill enemies in 3 hits anyway
Imo combos should use only 2 attacks, 3 or 4 is too many
