I’ve tried that a couple of times. Problem is, they never have anything I want to buy. I’ve stolen or looted clothing, weapons and armor that’s better than any trader can offer. Are there really no traders out there with more money than 900 groschen?? I thought maybe there might be one SOMEWHERE
nope. the most i've encountered was just slightly above 1000 groschen. and for some reason they decided to not make traders gain more money from trading with you anymore, instead of capping how much they can get, meaning some items just cannot be sold off without a substantial loss.
you can trade in an expensive armor though for several pieces of junk, that are able to be sold seperately to different traders. still making some loss there, but probably less than just gifting the difference to the trader. its annoying though and takes a really long time, and isn't even really worth it in the end, usually.
I expect the economy to take some nerfing in a future patch honestly.
Damn. What a huge oversight in a game with so many detailed systems. I’ve got 20k so I guess I might as well just drop my most expensive items and clear up the inventory space. Are there any projected patches to fix this? Maybe l just use a mod but that feels like cheating to me
But if they don’t have anything I wanna buy then the reputation is more or less meaningless.
i just throw away most stuff in the first game, cant even give the money to the skalitz beggars
I guess its a good thing storage chests are pretty much limitless.
Then reverse pickpocket a vendor. Or just drop the groschen on the floor and watch them hoover it all up.
Then profit. Sell them your expensive $1k++ armor lol
the biggest irony in that is that most traders in kuttenberg aren'T able to buy their own most expensive item. as in: a trader whose most expensive item is an armor for 4000 groschen only has about 800 groschen on hand.
also, the thing about it being a good thing chests are bottomles is so incredibly true.
Profit? How is there any profit if it’s my own money that I’m giving them just for them to give it right back to me?
sounds like you want to get positive opinion, not money, by that method? but if that is the case you could just gift the expensive armor in the first place. not really a point in selling your stuff for your own money, thats just gifting with extra bells and whistles?
There's some expensive trainers later in the game, but even they won't make a dent in your purse by that stage.
Also, you're not 'making a loss' as there's no cost involved- every G made from selling loot is pure profit.
