Samuel
1) why give henry a jewish half-brother? that makes no sense at all

2) in the gezerah/shoah mission (the destruction of the jewish quarter), it would make more sense to give the player control of samuel, instead of making henry (a christian), fight other christians to protect the jews

3) as it says in the gave, the jewish quarter never existed in kutterberg in 1403 as displayed into the game, and the synagogue was build only in 1808

so my final question is: why ruin historical acuracy like this?

Right, thanks for proving my point. Why bother with historical accuracy at all in the first place? We might as well have BMW's and fly spaceships, makes just about as much sense

You don't have a point, mate. You say "if not everything ca be 100% accurate it's not worth in the first place".
And that's just plain wrong.

But of course the guy with the pepe profile pic if scared of Jews. No surprise here.
> critiques historical accuracy
> "you are scared of jews"
lmao

Of course the private profile would make up a strawman and bad faith ad hom out of thin air. no surprise here

Many such cases!

Samuel is Martin's bastard son. This story surrounding Samuel's mother and Martin's forced separation and child-alienation, highlights the racial and social superiority felt by many Ashkenazi Jews toward their European hosts. Even Samuel, who's father was Czech, carries open disdain for Europeans and Christians. The whole thing is a more nuanced view of Jews and how they can be just as bigoted and flawed as anyone else, instead of always the "good guy".

Why are the ONLY contentions about historical inaccuracy are those that offend the intolerant?

The game is Historical Fiction. FICTION.

There are tons, and tons of historical inaccuracies. Why is no one complaining about the appearance of Cumans?

People have been complaining about Henry not being able to go as hard against the Cumans in the sequel.

I personally, do not care.

And regarding the Jews, though it would have been nice to have the option to opt out of the Exodus mission wherein siding with Jews against Czech civilians is compulsory, I can admit that Samuel is a well-written character, and there are some funny/clever quips made by other characters involving our different faiths, specifically by Godwin.

That said, it is both amusing that Jews get mentioned whenever “woke” content unpalatable to Christians and Muslims is brought up, and annoying that all criticism of the game’s more controversial content gets labeled “bigoted, nazi, etc.”

For the most part, Vavra did a good job at portraying Jews and Christians in the game without glazing Jews too hard at Christianity’s expense.

If this game had released prior to the current war in Gaza erupting, I doubt there would have been much if any controversy involving the Jews in this game. Being given the ability to remain neutral during the pogrom is all I’d want changed, honestly.

And maybe they could have not pushed the “brother” thing so hard considering Henry and Samuel are not connected by either blood or culture.

For the same reason that you can make potions that heal you.

It's a video game and not a documentary
