Hans and Henry get tricked by von Bergow and Istvan to think Ziska and his men are just Bandits.. and they fight against Zizka..
that gets clear up after Goodwins arrival....
and now the Sides are clear with who fights on what Side
Yeah but it's actually based on real history where you have a terribly weak King, surrounded by parasitic lower-nobility that were basically running the HRE into the ground. Therefore, in hindsight, I could make the argument Sigismund was justified
as he was distinctly aware the HRE is the only thing standing between the Turks and greater Europe.
Where you are at the main thing is that Von Bergov has been leading you on the whole time and never considered joining your side against Sigismund. The new names mentioned like Jobst and Lichtenstien will appear later in the story once you reach Kuttenburg and their relevance will become clearer.
Istvan is a lackey for the bad guys and one of the main villains in the first game. He follows orders and what he wants doesn't really matter. In KCD 1 we weren't sure who exactly he was working for, in Nebakov we find out it's been Von Bergov the whole time
