Sir Hans after wedding - SPOILERS!

After the wedding, Hans stays locked up for you know what. But I never ratted him out, so how did they find out it was him in the woods? Do I find out later or is the story line of this particular incident just broken and not explained?

If I find out later, simply reply that this is the case, without stating the actual outcome.

For who the bell tolls is a main story mission and can't be avoided. He will always be on the line for poaching. It is hinted that the butcher in Troskowitz ratted him out.
