Some crossbows reload faster than others, don´t know if it´s tied to their strength requirement. And there is a perk in marksman that allows you to reload faster for all range weapons and also allowing for slowdown in time while aiming.

Can not find any perks in markmanship that lowers reload time.

there is a perk that speeds up reload by 10% for a short time after each shot

Rule is simple - as more powerful crossbow, as longer reload time. Crossbows in general can be reloaded slowly, so you have to find one with good balance (power/reload time). And perk you talk about - it's Salvo.

Naturally as studios stopped writing cheats into their games and hiding the debug console, players (and there have always been players who cheat) made their own cheats and shared them within the modding community.

It's a single player game, so let people of any age enjoy their games how they like to play their games.

Have you noticed there're no stat requirements for crossbows that use goats foot levers or a windlass to draw in the game? In real life they'd be the type of crossbow with draw weights of over 200lbs so impossible to draw by hand, they take as long to draw as they take and that can't be improved.
But the lower poundage crossbows so in game the ones you can pull by hand and HAVE a stat requirement can be drawn a lot faster if Henry's up to it, but the developers are being really true to life, you can fire a bow a lot faster than a crossbow especially if it's a lower draw weight or you don't have to draw it all the way.

Just remember though that you can span a crossbow and walk around with it drawn without a bolt to it so it's ready, really good idea for firing from cover or wanting to get the 1st shot

You do realize there can be 0% coorelation between mod usage and laziness in ones occupation yeah?

It's a video game. It's not something one must endure to build character.

I hate the crossbow competition! You need to start first and finish first to get the 3 extra point. The thing is, all the freaking NPC's reload way faster then me no matter what crossbow i pick. This is BS.

Longbow was EZ.

These crossbows are 1 shot one kill, and you hit what you aiming at, unlike guns, and also can reposition faster
