Trying to find the armor this lady talks about
Ok, so I am playing and the beggar chick at the beginning tells me there's armour I could steal, gives me a lockpick and tells me it's in an armoury but I have no clue where it is, I quickly googled it and it's apparently a building a guard stands outside all hours of the day, I snuck in and only found a single book in the room which looks like a disused storage. Am I missing something?

Ok, but again where is this Rathaus? When I've looked it shows the building I have seen a guard be out of, I've gone to the door which is locked, lockpicked it and all I find is a book for strength and a bunch of hay/barrels. Nothing else.
Next to the Tavern is a house with a courtyard, it has a wooden gate-arch in front of it, it's there on the left, the donation box is in front of it.

I think the whole point of that conversation is that she gives you a lockpick and tells you about Brunwick's armour - which only comes with the preorder DLC.

I fear there's nothing more to it than that.
if youre in the right building there is a chest(very hard) with all of the guards equipment(you may have to go at night). there is also a weapon stand with polearms.
I thought Bara was simply talking about it being the Rathaus. You know, the building full of armed guards who sleep at night.
Seemed like a reasonable response to the question "where can I get armour and weapons"?
Didn't even realise I was missing out on DLC armour... now I'm sad:(

Now I'm over it.

Unless you are cheating, there's absolutely NO WAY to unlock a Very Hard chest that early in the game

Don't worry though, it takes one good fight and you are well equipped.

She was NOT talking about the DLC armor. There are two dialogue options about armor, only one of them refers to the pre-order DLC quest, and I am 99% sure that option only appears if you own the DLC.

i dont recall it taking me all that long. but the first thing i did was grind stealth and pickpocket every sleeping NPC having known it was essential from the first game.

You can easily steal a key.

Well in that case her purpose is to give you a lockpick early on.

I don't own that DLC, she just said about a room with a bunch of armor I could steal but I'd have to avoid guards. I don't know the layout well so I am a bit confused on where to go.
