Divine Messenger - Unable to continue main quest (spoilers)
So I killed everyone before in Nebakov during the 'Back in the Saddle' quest, it was the only way to discover the prisoner since they caught me and thought it was a good thing since it would make it easier to dispose of all the bandits later on. Since everyone started attacking me, there was no way to distinguish villager from bandit.

Now, in the 'Divine Messenger' quest, all defenders left, are 2 guys who die almost instantly while defending the castle, leaving me with 10-15 enemies to beat which is nearly impossible.
If you wait too long it says the rebels took over the castle so this is a stalemate, leaving you with nothing else but to reload an earlier saved game, if you have one. It breaks some people's game because they only have a few but even if you have one, it requires to replay all between both quests which is a lot.
Reloading a save of Back in the Saddle would take me back 28 saves, equal to 5-6 hr of gameplay...

This seems like a not so well thought process by the devs and needs to be addressed since you can't expect players to know what the future will bring and since tables have turned, there's no way to predict this kind of events 3 quests before.

I don't know why so many people do this, but the only thing I can say to help is that you have to reload a save from earlier, to the time you haven't killed all those people.
It'll be much faster and smoother on the second run, so it will not cost that much time.

And if you like to clean up the 'bad guys' before doing a quest, you can also kill all guards in Trosky Castle to make it easier to sneak past them later in the story.

They probably watch streams made by low IQ twitchers.

Anyway, to prevent another similar "misfortune", this is not the only solution to find food suring the hunger quest!

So don't do it unless you must kill Mutt. Talk to other people.

It wasn't intentional to kill everyone in the Castle but like I said above, if you get caught, there's no way to handpick who you kill, they just came after me, all of them.
To be punished for that with a quest you can't continue is not what the devs had in mind, I'm sure so it looks like they didn't go over every possibility making this quest.

To reload earlier saves is to go back 3 main quests and if you've played them, you know there's a lot of scripted events taking place, making it unable to skip or do it faster. Like I said above, 5 hrs of real time is a lot...
