combat not difficult but also really frustrating with the endless master block/blocked riposte idk what they need to tweak but theres def room to make the combat system more fun

honestly just dont riposte, just perfect dodge for stamina and thats it. riposte is a waste 95% of the time

Nope, remains really bad all the way.

Luckily there is very little of it and starts of easy and becomes super easy when your stats go up.

But there is a lot of skill expression that allows you finish fights much faster, even without taking stats into account.

AI attacks more frequently.
AI switches attack zones more often.
AI reacts faster in certain situations, such as clinches.
AI dodge probability increased. (Optional)
Player's Perfect Block and Master Strike windows halved. (Optional)

For those who cannot stand the combat mechanic's, here is a mod that simplifies combat:

Here are some other mods that can simplify combat or help with quality of life things. (Some prefer using Arrow keys for combat or rather the game auto Battle Cry or use Taunts) These mods can help do that.

Using the chat menus during combat for Battle Cry and Taunting seems unintuitive, this mod will automatically do a Battle Cry for you as well as taunt back at the enemies during combat. It also has a version where you can make the Middle Mouse Button also work for Battle Cry.

If you rather not use the mouse for combat stance changes and attacking then this mod will let you use the Arrow Keys for precise stance changes for smoother combat, also can do multiple attacks in the same stance much easier for rapid strikes in one spot.

If someone isn't complaining about combat being difficult, they are complaining about it being too easy. I honestly don't understand how this is even possible.
I guess its hard to learn easy to master? Not sure how though.
