shadowflickering and pop-in
Is anyone else noticing shadow flickering and pop-in? The game looks great, but sometimes its pretty noticeable how the world loads in, and it can be a bit distracting. I´m playing with all settings on ultra and have DLSS AA set to native since it provides the smoothest image, but the shadowflickering and pop-in are really annoying.

I think it’s a problem with the engine as you had pop in shadows in the first one too, I agree it can be quite jarring and immersion breaking but I’ve found no fix for it at all so I think you’ll have to run with it for now. Hopefully they’ll fix it in the future
There's also some lighting weirdness in forests, in the canopy you can see streaks of strange looking white glow. Also, in certain areas, the light sorta penetrates npcs' bodies and their mouths glow. Bit odd
It's the engine. For all the praise it gets I have no idea why. Pre-baked lighting, horrible screen space reflections ( you see weird shimmering on the side of the screen in water if you pan the camera), and super bad DOF with shimmering +aliasing etc etc. It's a brand new game using dated tech.

Amazing super deep and rich game but the graphics are meh.

oh, thanks! At least now its not just me but the engine. Sometimes when i see the game on social media, it feels like youtubers and tiktokers dont have these issues-Kinda weird.

Yeah, i´ve notice some white artifacts in the background when im in the woods too. But the flickering shadows are the worst. The game could look so good, and i kept hoping they´d fix it, but here we are.
It would need ray tracing to fix the issues. example; global illumination instead of screen space reflections.
I get a little of it now and then but I do have all setting on experimental .

It’s not just you.
In addition when I get closer to some villages I may see some small flickering black shapes on a roof or wall, like a broken texture or shadow. When I get closer it disappears and everything looks normal.
You even get lightning inside caves, light doesn't go around corners.

Not to mention rain on inventory screens.

First game didn't even manage those two.
Yes shadows flicker in the distance. Appears to be lots of z-fighting off in the distance on objects.
Set everything to High, only put Textures and Player/NPCs on Ultra and see how it does. FOV on 95 helped too. After apply changes exit the game and wipe the gpu shader cache. Then relaunch game

Helps to also use the launch command to load in a customized user.cfg

I can share my user.cfg contents a bit later today whenI have time.

They also need to put the LOD adjustment sliders back in, at least for PC version cause right now it's way too low. An obvious sigh game was designed for Consoles. Even when I use NVIDIA ANSEL and zoom in the LOD doesn't change in real time, which it should.
