Finally in 2nd region after 60 hours and I am still excited as I was when I started the game
This is an appreciation post for KCD2.
You know KCD1 has certain charm and I really wanna emphasis on the word "charm" that I don't usually get from bigger games in general. The characters, voice acting, music, the detail with many animation that just shows passion.

And so far, KCD2 has the same charm and passion I loved in KCD1.

First we got alchemy. I never even imagined that they would improve it compared to the first game. The steps are engaging and I really feel I am making potions. The first one had already gave that feeling but then the sequel delivered more. The idea that making no mistakes gives better potion with stronger affect was a very good choice.

The blacksmithing. This is something I did not have much expectation. But I loved it in this game. It kinda falls behind when I compare it to alchemy. But it is still very good when you imagine making armor or weapons in other game. I wonder if they can add a layer of complexity to it because I have not actually made a weapon that wasn't tier 3 and once I unlocked tier 4, it was always tier 4.

Archery. Archery was always player skill based. Now we have to worry less because I know the arrow will go slightly higher compared to where I am pointing instead of sligher upper left in first game. Though my experience from kcd1 is helping in case of long range shot. I also love that it has perks.

Dog/wolf fights are so much enjoyable or at least acceptable. Seeing dogs in the first game was terrifying. They would bite and don't hold back and I would have to punch them and basically lose all of stamina.

Group fights. These are so manageable now. In the first game, you had to constantly move back and master strike. That was your main option. You could do drive by horse and just shoot from afar. But that wasn't feasible with every 1vMany situation. I love that we get some breathing room in the sequel and can actually do different attacks.

Hunting and butchering. Another cool animation that is simple but adds details. Instead of simply looting like the stuffs are in a bag, we can skin the animals and the visuals reflect that. Love that detail.

No more multiple peasant bandits with polearms. No explanation needed. Thank god.

Love the follow road for horses and follow npc while walking or riding to a destination.

I could go on. But time to play the game again as I am very excited to what happens next.
