DEVs please read: Game crashes a lot after the patch
I didn't have a single crash from launch until after the first patch. Now I get multiple crashes in a few hours of gameplay, and not just a crash to desktop, sometime my whole pc locks up and reboots itself. Devs you guys need to fix this, I don't like this game randomly rebooting my pc like this. If this doesn't get fixed soon I'm shelving the game until it is fixed.

Dev's please don't read. it doesn't crash at all lol
Game is a crash feast now. I hadn't a single crash in the first map but after the update, i've already lost the count of crashes in the 2nd map. It looks like the smartest devs did the trotsky part and the dumbest the kuttenberg one.
Delete cache in the games folder ....

computer restarting is either cpu failing or your ram speed is too high and your cpu doesnt like it.

I've got a 14th gen Intel CPU with patched microcode in the bios. I've had two crashes in ~70 hours.
* The first crash was before the first hotfix and is alleged to be fixed (I crashed while managing/dropping inventory between player and horse).
* The second crash was shortly after the first hotfix, and it occurred when I was attempting to spam surrender to a handful of villagers intent on punching me to death while I was fully clad in plate armor.

So, this game does crash.....

You almost certainly have faulty hardware. It's a pain to deal with and can take months to fully troubleshoot. I just went through this several months back, and it was my video card. But the only way to know is to look at your system drumps following crashes. This will almost certainly help you narrow it down to the failing component.

Keep an eye on other factors, does it ONLY crash when gaming, or can it crash when idling too? There is ZERO chance it only crashes with KCD2 -- KCD2 does not and cannot reboot yur PC.

It has only crashed during gaming. KcD2 but its the only game with real intensive graphics I played on this pc, its a pretty new build. I'll have to keep an eye on the dumps but haven't found anything yet to point to anything specific

Also the crash/reboot only happened twice. I get many regular game crashes in a few hours, mostly happens when opening and closing inventory it seems so that I'm sure is KcD.
13th and 14th gen Hyperthreading for Intel was causing a lot of issues with games; notably the UE5 games. Intel's latest Ultra 9 285K doesn't even utilize Hyperthreading.

Is there a fix for them?

Or a work around with settings or something
It's no guarantee that it would help crashing but you can disable Hyperthreading in the BIOS.

You first start your computer and you usually press F12 or DEL to enter the BIOS. Sometimes games are even faster with it disabled but I'm not sure that's the problem.

KCD2 was not made in UE5 (or any Unreal Engine). They're using the CryEngine.

I think Intel just jumped to their next gen CPU because they can't address these issues.
