Spoils of War quest help

I didn't want to steal all the hidden food from the village, so I decided to go hunting nearby. I slaughtered two deer and received almost 70 meat. I placed it in the cart and the soldier still said there wasn't enough, even though I told him where the cows were and the beer. Does anyone if you can even add your own additional food to please him so I don't need to clean the village out?

Bribe him with cash. Thats really what they are after, they dont give a rats ass about the food, LOL Also they wanted the beer. But nothing worked until I said I found money and other things like jewelry.

hmm, I don't really wanna steal every precious item from every chest. I think I'll reload and kill 6-7 deer and see what happens. Maybe i'll add 1 or 2 trinkets if needed.

it is possible but takes a ton of meat. i added 100 boar meat and about 225 deer meat(plus all the rump meat etc). this was without giving him the beer, cows, or gold

i gave him 4 boars and one stags worth of meat and offal and he was satisfied

yeah i did it eventually. 5 deers plus cows and beer was enough
