The thing about the ending(Spoiler)

It just weird that Warhorse decided to keep Erik alive since KCD2 is confirmed to be the end of Henry's story. All the DLCs title doesn't seems like we're gonna get a chance to settle the score too. The basterd got the better of me in the CuTsCeNe really grinding my gear. Do you guys think we'll get him in the DLCs? Or maybe wait 6-7years for KCD3? Let's make a fun speculation

Personally my guess is wait 7-8 years for KCD3
Old Henry got killed by Old Erik(TLOU2 style) in the CuTsCeNe and we play as the son of Henry we have to conclude the story by forgive Erik to get good ending and learn that revenge doesn't pay...

To be honest Erik never really did anything to Henry.

So he was a non-factor until Henry killed Istvan. So really Henry is the "bad guy" in that situation.

Not to mention just leaving him to stew is probably more logical given the situation. Only reason really is so it doesn't happen later, but Bohemia is a big place.

I just finished today and was a tad disappointed that Henry was not knighted or given sir zigzags last name. I read a thread that listed a few decent story lines for a KCD3.

Them saying that there will not be one and the final sales numbers of the game are 2 different things. That is why they left it so open ended. If this game hits 4 million copies+ why wouldn't they do a 3?

I do believe KCD3 is guarantee at this point. It just might not directly be about Henry.

Possible, and I would guess it as part of the 3rd one.

It would be rather interesting if part of exploring a monastery to stop a plague also involved killing Eric who is involved in some way. Would have a nice little aspect that reminds us of the first game monastery infiltration to get a killer.

It was never confirmed. Vavra confirmed only that the story of his revenge is over. The third game of the Kingdom Come franchise could still utilize Jindřich as the main protagonist. All possible main plot KCD2 endings allow Warhorse to involve Jindro in the events of (spoiler for those who don't know the real history of the period) both Racek's guerrilla against Rozhemberks and the Hussite wars.

Yes, Jindro needs to drag Jan down the aisle, von Bergau should be pacified, and Jindřich needs to be knighted if he wants to marry Roza. Hence at least two DLC's in 2026 are highly possible.

The third game of the franchise would definitely not have the subtitle "Deliverence". Bohemia is delivered from Sigismund, after all.

My guess is that Erik would be killed in Trotsky castle siege by Jindro, and our old pal would get his spurs finally in DLC, Jan would be married, and after that, we would wait the Kingdom Come 3 for 7-8 years - on a different engine and with different gameplay formula (EU5 and gameplay would be between KCD's and Mount and Blades).

I hope for KCD3 to come out in few years. I feel quite empty after ending we got, yeah his revenge story is over but Erik is still around, I wonder if Henry will become legitimized by Radzig. Also a lot of events are about to go down in Bohemia, Hussite wars, crusades. Not gonna lie I wanna see en ending with Henry becoming a noble and settling in with certain redhead :D

I bet not, there will be no point in legitimizing Jindro if he is knighted. And legitimizing Jindřich would piss off Anna of Úlibic - his future wife.

The bad moralizing of "don't be an @sshole?" and "religious oppression is bad" in a setting leading up to the catholic church declaring a violent crusade on some people who weren't seen as properly 'civilized' by various catholic kingdoms at the time?

It is the conclusion of Henry's revenge arc, yes.

But as Henry didn't drop dead at the end, his story goes on. 😋

Warhorse was also "we have had enough of KCD" when the first game came out.
