i totally agree. pole arms were a devistating weapon at the time too. once knights starting wearing plates they also started using pole arms because they no longer needed a shield. which freed them up to use 2handed weapons. every time i try to use a pole arm or warhammer in the game they do not work very well at all. longswords i easily demolish several enemies in one fight. i really hope the devs correct a some things with this game. like making all weapons viable. especially swords. against plate armor they were all but useless. unless u half sword and stab. most knights and soldiers in plate armor used war hammers and military picks and pole arms. swords were a status symbol and a back up or used against men in chain armor or leather or padded armor. one of the few bad designs by the devs. they even mention swords are not good against plate armor. but the game play shows otherwise. lets hope they make a patch to correct this
Sure sword has master strike, but when you can down plated enemies in a couple hits to the head, it's not really needed.
Yup but the game is all about chivarly so they made swords somehow the META due to masterstrike, a big old mace would completly stun an enemy even if they had a helmet
