Does the game get harder at all?
So I just recently started the game and I went through maybe 6 or so side quests before starting the main quests as they were right around me unlike the main quest on either end and I've noticed that I'm at the point of it not mattering who I face because I cut them down extremely swiftly and now that I learned the smithy and crafted my first sword after the tutorial (Military Sword) which had happened to be Grade 4 because I repaired my gear a lot already leveling up my crafting skill, I have not had a single trouble facing anyone.

So now I'm at a crossroads where I'm questioning if it's going to stay this easy throughout the rest of the game even into Kuttenberg or if it'll actually get tougher and need some kind of actual skill.

Blacksmithing and alchemy are too easy where getting the max grade of a potion or gear at least as of this moment seeming like child's play.

I am reacting to you saying you where level 18 in smithing before doing your first blacksmithing craft. I do not believe that for a second. You dont get to 18 in blacksmithing by repairing some gear and selling it before doing the blacksmith quest. Its way to early in the game. its not about player skill - blacksmithing isnt hard. its about the 18 blacksmithing skill before crafting something for the first time in blacksmithing.

I wouldnt mind some skill scaling but thats kind of hard with how their combat system is set up. You can make them a bit faster/aggressive and be harder to parry/masterstrike but thats about it. One of the first dudes i met in Kutten was kind of like that. Once you understand the combat system and "master" it - the reality is just that its mostly a numbers game. How does your skill stack up against their skill and armour. Weapon skill makes an absolute huge difference in fights.

Yeh you do lol i hit 30 craftmenship before doing the wedding through just using repair kits, its way too fast

Are you playing with mods? Because these claims keep getting more and more ridiculous

Which is impossible if someone recently started the game. Gettin anything to level 30 requires hours of playtime.

The OP makes it sound like they just started which makes his claims unbelievable.

Not if you use mods. I'm guessing these guys use modded blacksmithing and such.

Yeah, but using mods and then complaining the game is easy would be very dishonest and ridiculous.

Yes you can do it. Thats not what is being disputed. Especially with mods. Seems like an incredible waste of time :P But you do you

Is like skyrim, if you only do the main quest, The game is 'nomral' difficult.

But when you go out of rail (exploring and side mission), the game test your skill but doing this you will one shot the final boss.

I've done literally the entirety of the first map. I've done most of the 2nd map. And i hit 30 a few hours back. There arent enough sidemissions to warrant hitting 30 unless you are specifically grinding for it. OOOOOOOOR

using mods :)

Ah yes, you are talking about the player level. Your right.

Yes exactly this, if you start to explore, the game become too easy, too quick, it's a classic problem in casual oriented action rpg, seems for this second chapter developers make levelling skills too much quick.

No i am talking about blacksmithing level
Craftsmanship just like maintenance in KCD 1 is the first skill you can max very easily. How? Kill people, repair their gear with kits and sell to recover the money. If you are fighting a lot it goes very quickly. And you sell the repaired gear for more than 3 times the value of the repair kits. So it's very profitable as well.

As for OP question the answer is NO. The game doesn't get harder. The only "hard" thing is to learn how to fight multiple enemies. As soon as you do that you will forget what the death screen looks like. Because the combat is that easy.

Game scaling is anoying for most of the players, and not scalling the game is annoying for the rest of the player. This situation is impossible to satisfy everybody unless you have a option to enable/desable scaling.
