There are smatters of historical inaccuracies in both games. I've never played the first, but if you research it it's not 100% historically accurate.
Potions don't increase your health irl. That's a gameplay element not accurate to life. I asked this next as a genuine question and not an accusation... Are you sure it's the "historical inaccuracy" or "modern politics injection" you're upset about?
Or do you just think gays are icky? It's fine if you do. But I think people could point out a lot of cherry picking when others go and pick apart arguments like yours made.
And I know it's been said a hundred times, but you don't have to choose those options. You can cater the characters to your own sensibilities. And as a final note same-sex interactions is not inherently political or even modern. It's as old as humans. And this is historically accurate
