Is there a way to repair the Broken Round Shield from the "Axe from the lake" quest?

It appears greyed out in the inventory (despite being in the shields, not quest category), but neither the Takov smith nor armorer toolkit can repair it.

Can someone else?

I guess it's like the weapon stubs, or other broken weapons.

They appear in the weapons/shields category but you're unable to repair them (you can restore their condition to 100% using a blacksmith kit, but it has no effect).

It's basically trash, and not even vendor trash as I don't think it can be sold.

No it cannot be fixed AFAIK. Not a big deal as there are plenty of better shields that are easy to get for free.

Confirnimg this. Cannot be fixed, throw it away.
That aside, the axe is also pathetic even with the Martin buff, so once completed for sakes of the quest, sell it. ;)
