reforging the guild longsword is it a broken quest

I cant seem to get it to show up in the list when i click on the anvil does it have to be a certain blacksmith it doesnt explain anything. and i tried everything ive got the broken sword in inventory. this game is so broken

No, it should show up in the longsword section, if i remember correctly.

i had to restart a few saves back and finally it showed up in inventory it was a bug thanks for the reply though

Hey I got the same issue. I reloaded some earlier save but it doesn't seem to do the trick either.
Could you explain exactly how far back you went, some specifics?

*EDIT* Nevermind. Going back actually made me reproduce the bug over and over.
I solved it by simply reloading the checkpoint save that is automatically made after you gave Menhard the broken sword and are supposed to repair it.

Make sure you have 3 toledo steel or it wont let you repair it, you can buy it from the weapon vendor then repair. Hope this helps!
