Enemies in Kuttenberg underground?

Did anyone stumble upon enemies or at least living people in the underground?

I was stealing from a house and escaped through the underground, found some interesting things there, went to another house and raided that as well.

While I was in the second house stealing, the white indicator appeared that someone was suspicious and searching. Also I heard someone roaring in some language I could not make out, and seemingly from underground judging by the sound and also the whole house was unconscious by then. I heard this a second time, it was a bit creepy as well.

I drank a Saviour Schnapps and went back down to have look, roamed some of the tunnels, but didn't find anyone alive. Just the indicator coming and going, even on the next day. I guess I took something somewhere and some NPC noticed things were missing and started looking for a thief.

Is that supposed to be a joke or do you actually mean there are Jewish NPCs in the tunnels?
Could've very much been Yiddish 🤷‍♂️ I did not understand much
