it doesn’t mean what you think it means, and actually applies to you more than the game
You have a torch, which as a light source must be held in hand. What is so obtuse about it? Torch is not a lantern, it can not be put on your belt when it is lit, for obvious reasons. Lit lanterns on a belt is still a simplification as lanterns heat up (would eventually burn you) and the visibility distance would be lowered unless held in hand and high up. It is just a common quality of life simplification for lazy entitled games such as MovieMuscle.
Hell, KCD2 does not even consume a torch as you use it. You can use one for the whole game. It would be hell of an annoyance if the torch would be consumed as you use it and you would have to acquire new one every once in a while, which is realistic as torches are not infinite in real life.
KCD2 has legitimate issues for sure--target lock on stickiness, multiple enemy encounters, imbalanced weapons, uneven pacing at times--but how it handles torch is not one of them. I wonder how much you will complain about alchemy once you realized how "obtuse" that process is compared to simple fact to equip a torch in a gear slot and then enable it when needed.
I resent this, i'm autistic and wouldn't be such a crybaby or so obtuse I can't find where the keybindings are :)
A cup and ball might be more your speed, but for god's sake watch your eyes!
