KCD2 is annoyingly obtuse
There's absolutely no reason why the game is as obtuse as it is other than to satisfy some very few gamers who don't have much going on in their lives and they feel fulfilled living in this other world.

There's absolutely ZERO reason why it's so obtuse how to f*cking wield your torch for some reason. If I equip it, it should ABSOLUTELY be evident how I wield it. Either it's hanging off my body and lighting up the environment or I can equip it by clicking the D-pad or something to switch out with my sword...but nope, I'm supposed to of course look it up online because the devs weren't clever enough with the game design for everything to be intuitive because oooh realism!

EDIT: I genuinely wish FAILURE for any studio that wants to waste gamers' precious time and excusing it with "realism." Your game should be f*cking accessible without looking sh*t up online.

just commenting to laugh at this kid’s abuse of the word “obtuse”

it doesn’t mean what you think it means, and actually applies to you more than the game

You must be the special kind of gamer that is built from asbestos, clearly your ideas are toxic for sure.

You have a torch, which as a light source must be held in hand. What is so obtuse about it? Torch is not a lantern, it can not be put on your belt when it is lit, for obvious reasons. Lit lanterns on a belt is still a simplification as lanterns heat up (would eventually burn you) and the visibility distance would be lowered unless held in hand and high up. It is just a common quality of life simplification for lazy entitled games such as MovieMuscle.

Hell, KCD2 does not even consume a torch as you use it. You can use one for the whole game. It would be hell of an annoyance if the torch would be consumed as you use it and you would have to acquire new one every once in a while, which is realistic as torches are not infinite in real life.

KCD2 has legitimate issues for sure--target lock on stickiness, multiple enemy encounters, imbalanced weapons, uneven pacing at times--but how it handles torch is not one of them. I wonder how much you will complain about alchemy once you realized how "obtuse" that process is compared to simple fact to equip a torch in a gear slot and then enable it when needed.

I resent this, i'm autistic and wouldn't be such a crybaby or so obtuse I can't find where the keybindings are :)
Its in the settings. Could have been tutorialised tbf.
Have you considered a different hobby?

A cup and ball might be more your speed, but for god's sake watch your eyes!
