Discrete feminism
This game is littered with discrete feminist dialogue and it is driving me nuts. Am i the only one who notices it? When talking to Lord Semine at the wedding, he says he can't give food to the beggars because his cook won't allow it. "shes too stingy" he says. Well excuse me but aren't you the lord of the castle? Surely you could just say something and have it done. And every woman has an attitude for some reason its kinda weird.

You'd prefer all the women to be submissive? Weird.

Are we back in the 2014 discourse era where y'all think anything you don't like is the fault of feminists somehow? Somebody call Carl "It depends on the child" Benjamin to save us from Anita Sarkeesian again.

Her mother was probably the manor cook before her and probably helped raise him. He's probably know her since she was born, and she knows full well that her job is for life and he'll never get rid of her. He's noted several times before the wedding as being the most minor of nobility - a merchant family elevated - and decent to his staff. Given how Henry speaks to the Royal Chamberlain later, and wanders in and out of his bedroom to sprinkle water on his fireplace at midnight, I think nobility not being complete ♥♥♥♥♥ to certain serfs is a theme of the game and not an example of subtle feminism.
You find the lord in a intense discussion with the said cook since it's clear she is in control of part of the preparations.. and you are complaining she has opinions on said preparations ..

(at least i did , when i encountered him in the first floor, they were heavily debating the preparations, which the cook being stingy about something else and the lord sweating balls for having to pay)

i mean common my duder, you know what this is don't you?

You gave a noble answer to a pernicious "question". Jesus Christ be praised and so shall ye.

This game is designed with a certain level of historical accuracy, and that's just how things were in the 1400s. Stop projecting the way things are today onto the way things were 622 years ago.

Yes, today assuming women are only home makers and cook and clean and such is wrong, but six centuries ago, things were different. Men and women had discrete roles in society that were very inflexible and few dared to challenge. It really wasn't until the last couple centuries that this really started to change at all, and these stereotypes still haven't completely gone away.

"stingy" = discrete feminism.

Actual comedy, this has to be a joke.
