Storm Mission
This mission has frustrated me to no end. My character is not built for stealth whatsoever. Is there any way around this without having to resort to stealth? It seems so odd they included this mission as mandatory so maybe there's an alternate path around it I'm not seeing?

I'm also here. I think it's just bad.

It's not even the pseudo stealth that I have an issue with.

I'm seemingly forever tortured and debuffed so I'm walking at a snails pace and can't really do any attacks except deflections. It's taking forever.
I eventually got through it, but that was really a PIA of a mission. I saved scummed it via developer mode (which surprisingly doesn't eliminate achievements)
If it wasnt that Henry dosnt know how to backstap it would have been fine

Edit: or learn the way of the rock.

I just kept as much I could to the right as you exit the cave and eventually after I found the first guy, there were no patrols at all, lol.

I did assassinate 2 or 3 guys by the end still.
I just killed all the guards in 1:1 fights and run through the entire castle in heavy armour.
Ahh, no this is after the castle when you're running through the woods from an entire army. The problem I had was I had a very poor stealth skill and was over-encumbered. So not only was I slow, I couldn't really fight and couldn't really sneak. I ended up finding a path through by save scumming.

Yea, I killed the entire army while overencumbered with 2000 pounds of loot. Literally hunted them down. They die to one slash of the basilard or a couple arrows. I had high speech so had zero debuffs from the torture. Don't know how serious that is.
I did it with 14 stealth, a single weak Marigold decotion, and while being halfway fully overencumbered. AND I killed like 20 soldiers on the way

Literally a skill issue

It's only a skill issue if you don't prepare before. And if you don't know what's coming, how can you predict what you need? Hence the predicament I was in. Had I known stealth (or even speech) was necessary, I could've easily prepared better. The issue is that I'm not specializing in stealth or speech whatsoever. The complete opposite in fact.

With that being said, I was able to complete it by exploiting the weak AI. I wouldn't really call it a win, as I hate doing that type of thing but at least I'm past it.

You "skill issue" people are some of the most cringe people in gaming culture, just so you know.
I went to the right as much as possible out of the cave and stayed away from most of the guards. I only had to kill one person. I heard it was a difficult mission but I was able to do it my first time. I think the hardest mission so far is the side quest during the wedding when you fight four different people with the wooden sword - that one took me about 40 tries.
