No Hardcore mode on launch?
Just saw the trailer for post launch content. Does this really mean there's no hardcore mode on launch? I was planning on playing hardcore from the very beginning. After playing through KCD1 both on normal and hardcore I concluded that hardcore was a better experience and wanted to play it in KCD2 from the get go. Really disappointed rn.

Yes, there will be no hardcore mode on launch.
The hardcore mode for the first game was also released after the launch.

I was more surprised that the barber feature will not already there at the day 1

Ok thanks for the clarification. I think I will wait to buy/play until it's released. I really liked HC in KCD1. After playing it I kind of regretted playing it through normally first. It would have really enhanced my first playthrough.

Out of curiosity, did you have a lot of people ask for a Hardcore mode in the sequel? I absolutely loved it in KCD1 but thought it's so involved only a few people will play it so you won't bother with it for KCD2. So I guess I was wrong?

That was the main reason I don't want to play the game on release, I enjoyed so much hardcore mode in the first one that I honestly can't go back.

Now I have other reasons not to buy it. Developer priorities I guess.

Hardcore mode is on the roadmap for Spring.

Edit: before the first DLC I mean.

Ugh. Alright, no big deal. Guess that just means I’ll have to do two runs, heh. Unless.. are you planning to add support for switching modes? I don’t remember if that was a thing in KCD1.
