It happens in prisons, it happened here. Nobody talked about it. Plus isnt the trope today that Royals and nobles are a bit degenerate from time to time. You think those young man servants some of them picked didnt continue on the traditions of the Roman empire and their ceasars?

As long as the game doesn't push an agenda but just shows what could happen and how then it should be fine. The biggest issue I might have is the lack of focus on the Hussite events that engulfed the region. This had been a religious revival to rid of corruption and form a more even and radical christendom. In that background debauchery should take a step back.

But to my understanding the devs didnt take this approach. Its a missed chance to make Henry into a egalitarian christian rebel fighting the corrupt nobles. Alas.

God no, everyone arent gay but people in places of might and money often get bored and break their own social and political rules. And even people that aren't gay do gay stuff during long periods of abstention in campaigns and prisons.

If this was really about "player choice" then I would get to choose Henry's race, sex, height, breast size, fingernail length, favourite brand of potato chips, and get to use a hoverboard. The devs just wanted to make him gay, they didn't give a damn about player choice.
