KCD2 wont be woke. You have to realise not everything you dont like is some kind of agenda. I think generally it would be real shame if you dumped the game that you were waiting for, just because of some extreme views of other people on the game. But its your decision, you can pirate it, enjoy it, and then feel like sh*t that you enjoyed the game you stole.
I don't think I can buy that. It seems almost impossible for these decisions to have been made without consideration for the "inclusivity" and "representation" demands so important to these large soulless corporations and the far left journalists. These things were almost certainly done to improve the game's chances at getting a better review score from the far left journalists that dominate gaming news.
So yes, it is an injection of DEI and wokeness into the game. Its minor, and avoidable, but its still undeniably a decision they made due to that ideology. Its not enough to make me cancel my preorder, but I think its disingenuous to pretend like this isn't what it is.
The presence of Musa makes sense, since, as Vavra said, he acompanies the Sigismund army at Kuttenberg. He got in touch with Sigismund through some Sultan. He isnt there just because he is black. His presence also opens some interesting situations with the locals as I already said. So yes, I believe he is there because it can be interesting for the story.
Same goes for the gay option. Vavra hinted that you could get yourself or the other guy into trouble if you accept the gay stuff offer. This clearly shows that its once again well put into the context of 1403 in Bohemia. Its not there so devs can spread LGBT stuff or something, but to give players a choice, and potencially showing how it really was to be gay in that time.
Its also important to say that gay people were present in every era of human civilization. Have you played AC Oddysey? you could have same sex affair, and you could literally have sex with a goat. Nobody was hating that, everybody was enjoying good fun from that quest.
What is a "historical liberty" other than blatant inaccuracy? That terminology sounds like a euphemism. Tell me, do you also look outside to check the weather with your own two eyes, see that the sky is somewhat overcast, and tell yourself, "It's partly sunny, not partly cloudy"? Does that PC mentality of yours keep your nerves in check?
The game is set only a few years after the Battle of Nicopolis, Bulgaria, where Sigismund lost the majority of his men, his brothers, to the invading horde of Ottoman Turks, who's Empire is made up of Turks, Arabs, and Persians. In what holy hell would Sigismund have one of the same ethnic groups who slaughtered his buddies, in his camp, treating his men.
Agree 100% - very well said.
These are red flags and they have hindered my trust with Warhorse forever but its not quite enough to pull me out of the game. I still have a feeling that it'll be good but all of this is just so completely unnecessary. All of this could've been easily avoided if they just kept to what they built in this first game.
Im probably still gonna enjoy the game. But a major potion of the trust i had for the devs is gone forever.
I suppose that you can give a plausible reason for a Muslim to be invited to make decisions in a Catholic Church council in Crusades Era Europe under King Sigismund who led the Crusade that was defeated at Nicopolis shortly before the events of this game.
Musa's inclusion is the most ham fisted forcing of DEI into the game. If you notice that he doesn't appear in any of the pre-rendered cut scenes near the end, it's seems that he was not initially written into the end of the game, but then shoehorned in to check a diversity box demanded by an investor.
You take Blackrock money, which they did via Embracer Group, you put Blackrock propaganda into your game.
The fact you can mention meeting Musa is a clear indicator you at least got 30+ hrs unless you literally rushed through cut scenes and dialogue then maybe 20+ hrs. Way past the limit for a regular refund.
So unless you told them like this post WHICH I HIGHLY doubt since steam doesn't care about politics then you must have been whining about technical issues due to the big patch which they would consider a huge issue and would issue a refund due to a documented drop in play ability across the board.
So which is it? Are you actually a fan who bought games for his friends or did you just make a bait post under the guise of a refund?
For everyone else if there is a legitimate reason for the crashing and you have been unable to play reach out if you feel you need money back. But understand do not post like this. Offer solutions and you won't have issues going down in the future. For Ballistic he is lucky this discussion board has limited moderation. I have seen people get banned for less.
