he enjoys it too much on twatter to have been forced in any way
i am offended by his dishonesty and lies of omission. this is also clearly stated above.
i believe you have a case of "reading what you want to read"
yeah see thats why most are angry, its the beating around the bush, stating certain things and then suddenly it gets revealed that its a lie, dont let the russian rage bait bots get to you, just wait for release and base your opinion on truth and what comes out as facts.
sure a lot of ppl are saying things that go completely overboard but honestly thats to be expected in online community's,
they kinda did that to themselves, and probably knew damn well it was gonna happen,
varva now posting certain things are also not really helping to defend his case, if the game ends up failing its really his own fault
i doubt it will fail, it will probably still be GOTY, just because of the sheer quality of it.
and that's how they get you with woke elements, it's not with the over preachy titles like Veilguard, it it with tiny little insertions of woke nonsense, that you don't even notice if you don't pay attention to it.
What does 'wokeness' have to do with men having sex with men, or some outsiders of other races appearing in the game set in middle ages?
Homosexuality has always existed, even though it was despised and feared among people during the times this game is set in. When it comes to nobility, people with wealth and power could allow themselves to indulge in various fetishes/kinks - and the worst thing that could happen to a noble 'sampling' some novel experiences could be uncomfortable rumors being spread about them.
The point about 'how can Henry be gay if he wasn't gay in the first part' seems quite simplistic in nature. First of all, Henry is visiting a huge city with various people and various influences, it's very very likely he could eventually attend a certain party where kissing a man may not be seen as 'wrong' as it were while living in a little town. Plus, sexuality doesn't have to be 'gay or not gay' - he may discover himself to be bisexual, for example.
Again - none of this is really 'woke', and it's historically accurate - just as Warhorse studios promised to be, time and time again. Same goes for 'coloured' outsider being referenced in a game: while portraying the far-reaching conflicts and diplomacy, featured in a city where international trade was known to happen, why is it so wrong that there's one or two people with a different color of skin? It's not like the the main protagonist is the black ninja - it's simply something to be expected considering where and when the game is set to be.
I feel like players made a certain narrative about KCD that it's a game where everyone is 110% straight and people of others 'did not start existing yet', and seeing a couple of examples that this may not be the case brings so much agitation simply because that narrative is being destroyed. However, history itself doesn't agree to this narrative. And as long as no mindless wokeism is being forcefully fed in this title, I cannot in any way see these points being truly problematic and deserving of so much hate and frustration.
Can we see them Sodomites getting burned at the stake for Sodomy, then? It is 15th century Bohemia after all.
