The water is wet.
I am bored.

So, you troll?
If yes, don't forget your most sacred duty next hour!
Avoid OF, it's paid content.
Put as a wait and see. But for me personally, it's at best now a game I'm going to buy when it's cheap.
As I have many games that I haven't gotten round to. And this game is now much further back in backlogs.
Again if anyone is excited, just wait for people to check it out, and make your decision then.
Many other games had the benefit of the doubt: maybe all that woke stuff was the genuine beliefs of the developers, and not something forced into the games.
But in this specific case, the creative director had counter-signalled woke stuff very strongly in the past. But he has also sold his studio since.
So it's an interesting case to observe.
What is actually happening is that someone, in the holding company that sits at the top of all those studios, is keeping up to date a spreadsheet to track how many percent of their games have:
- LGBT characters and options
- minorities
- etc.
So they essentially told the developers: "Look, we need some gay stuff and some more minority representation in this game, a black man ideally". Just so they could increase some numbers in a spreadsheet, that gets compiled into another spreadsheet further up the chain.
And the KCD developers tried their best to try to retcon that in their medieval game, by stretching history as much as they can.
We have only one way to tell those companies to get lost, that we're not okay with this. And it's to do precisely nothing at all.
Aummmmmmmmmmmm.
You were supposed to comment my post with something like this (not that I'd care):
Boohoo.
Funny you say that cause there are women in power and black people in old games too.
You guys would be fuming if the movie alien was released today cause the mc is a woman.
Never was it made any more obvious that both are sides of the same coin than with this series. With KCD1, the wokies wouldn't let it slip either that somebody wouldn't conform to their demands. If you don't play by their rules and l*ck their butts they prefer to be licked, all the duds are gonna gang on you hard. All it takes is but a rumor, and the first mobs start rolling already, no prisoners taken. Giving in is the polar opposite of being BASED.
KCD: Successfully separating the wheat from the chaff since 2018.
Yea that's why neutrality is the best choice, both sides will only act friendly to you if you follow their ideologies.
They don't care at all what your actual intentions are for the game.
It's all fake

Tip for indie/AA devs: NEVER sell your independence.
He did that in 2019. Plaion aka Koch Media bought them.
Plaion belongs to Embracer.
Embracer is a very rainbow, greedy company, so they happily accepted DEI money, probably from Blackrock.
They are proud of their high DEI/ESG scores. Such "inclusion" and "diversity".
Now they will slowly push more and more agenda into KCD games and will slowly destroy the studio like EA did with Bioware.
I hope that your enjoyed your sweet DEI money, Mr. Vavra. Remember that they will probably replace you if you complain too much.
