I keep hearing stuff like "Henry is not gay" or "Henry is not Bi" and that they ruined the character. Good News everyone, he is STILL not Gay or Bi, unless you the player make him so.

Henry is a player insert character, his is what you make of him. He is YOU role playing as him . I know some people took their Henry in vastly different directions, which is the hallmark of a good role playing game... The ability for the players to choose.

Some people decided to turn Henry into a womanizing, scoundrel that robbed everyone in sight and slept with the Bath Wench after a good Robbery.

Some turned him into a mass murdering Serial Killer, that would stalk and kill people at night until the law caught up with him and his story ended at the end of a blade/rope.

Some would be role play the Noble Knight who would follow his own moral code and try his best to be a good person and help people. Since he is a upstanding moral man of course he saved himself for Marriage.... and there is a Achievement in the game called "Virgin" in KCD 1 as the Rewards.

Do some of those insult your idea of what Henry should be? Good because its not your Henry we are talking about. A Player Insert character is just that a Avatar for you to role-play the character, the more tools and options available the better for the player because he gets to decide the how that characters journey goes. So please just calm down and enjoy the game. Henry is no different than before, unless you the player want him to be.

I think most of it is a psyop to try to tank the game by bad actors who are quite pissed about Vanguard and Concord.

Unless there is any proof, I think it's best to just tackle the misinformation at hand. As much as psyops are possible, good luck finding any proof. In the end we run the risk of acting like the others peddling theories for facts.

I think it helps to highlight such a possibility (and you have to admit, a lot of this seems a little too over the top) just so that the more impressionable ones among us pause and think before grabbing a pitchfork.

It's always a possibility. Could be simple greed though, you add a gay option, a black character and some unsubstantiated rumor about the game being banned an boom, you have a whole ♥♥♥♥ storm in your hands that will definitely generate clicks.

Agreed I think those aiming to tank the game may have overplayed their hand. At best they caused a bunch of people to wait to buy the game instead of pre-ordering it. Which is fine and probably the smart thing to do. However I am not going to cancel my pre-order because I am a very natural contrarian and I HATE mob mentalities. Besides the fact I still think this is going to be a great game in the end that most of the people who are nervous will end up playing.
