any reasonable person reading this with the intent of buying a fun videogame, is going to question all this. That said, is it not reasonable for people to question the DEI stuff in KCD2, or its forced inclusion in the narrative?

I'm being as objective as I can be here. This is from the Embracer ESG fact sheet for the quarter.

Just looked it up myself, an 11-page pdf. about hiring studio heads because of what's between their legs, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ carbon neutrality of all things and other 'sustainable development goals'.

They know that the natural conclusion of pursuing carbon neutrality in video games is that they can't make video games anymore, right? Because computers use electricity, and unnecessary use of power is sinful to those people?
Sad how this isnt common knowladge.

Is anyone pressurizing you into buying all embracer games?

Well then. You'll buy what you want. Besides this is not Embracer forum.

Do you only read the headline in all youre replies trying to point fingers?
Depends on the topic and offtopic.
I don't care about quantum physics on this forum, for example.
Warhorse studio is off my radar for good
A lot of these boilerplate ESG statements are/were made by corporations under duress, due to the pressures from financial groups (Blackrock is a big one) who added ESG scores to evaluations as to whether a loan was a good 'risk'.

In the US, there is a tremendous amount of legal pushback happening on this practice coming from states that manage huge employee pensions. As a result, finance companies are beginning to back away from these types of ESG scoring.

Rather or not this company is a 'true believer' or just trying to have access to funding isn't something we are really going to know unless we keep an eye on them in the future. Of course, the EU is still fully on board with this stuff, so who knows how that impacts them.

SO many people fighting Diversity and inclusion to literally scream "I AM A BIGGOT"

THere is the problem. You don't like certain things fine... there are plenty of rocks in the world to go crawl under.
The lack of inclusion and diversity in video games would be very boring, monotonous, and based on fictitious, racist, and fascist realities. Girls should also enjoy video games and have main characters. Having gay characters in games is normal; they exist in real life too. We don't all have to follow the pseudo-moral obligations of religious extremists and their invented churches. It is unacceptable that we are in 2025 and the number of non-white main characters is still very, very small.

Against neo-Nazi fantasy, diversity, because real life is also diverse, and fantasy is an extension of it.

In any case, it is clear that no one has forced Warhorse to make the game they wanted; they have said it both actively and passively. If it were up to those opposed to diversity and inclusion, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II would have been banned and censored. Those who are trying to force things are precisely the ones who want to dictate to Warhorse how to make the game, and they haven't stopped complaining on the forum since the game was released. Even threatening to report the game for stupid accusations related to Hans Capon, or actively boycotting the game like all those who don't have the mouse icon, who plague this forum.

So you're implying KCD I was "very boring, monotonous, and based on fictitious, racist, and fascist realities."

Furthermore that Warhorse decided themselves to change the historical accuracy, moral compass and socio-economic focus of the game completely... because they just felt like it?

And not at all because their parent company publish their efforts in these regards on a yearly basis at their shareholder meeting?

Are you really sure?
So many ignorant NPCs in here still acting like DEI isn't real, despite being out in the open as official policy for years now.
They didn't get the memo that they've moved onto the "actually yes it is happening, and it's a good thing" phase.

What a lot of people don't seem to understand is that if someone looks at a tomato and the cook tells him it's blue... people won't end up thinking that it's blue. You're head is like "it's red though". Yet nowadays a lot of people seem to be like: "He didn't say it's blue and you're a bigot for not seeing that it's blue."

Yeah, like the above guy who said "The lack of inclusion and diversity in video games would be very boring, monotonous, and based on fictitious, racist, and fascist realities.", when he's talking about a game set in medieval Bohemia, which was literally 100% European.
It's basically an admission that they've fully swallowed the revisionist lies that society has always been diverse.
