any reasonable person reading this with the intent of buying a fun videogame, is going to question all this. That said, is it not reasonable for people to question the DEI stuff in KCD2, or its forced inclusion in the narrative?

I'm being as objective as I can be here. This is from the Embracer ESG fact sheet for the quarter.

I'd like proof that Embracer did not influence the KCD2 narrative or design process. Cause if that is the case, i'm 100% refunding. Leaning that way anyways given the lack of clear info and misleading PR. Embracer Group are also responsible for a new Deus Ex project going away, and Deus Ex (2000) is one of my favorite PC games. So I can't say this collective of people mismanaging intellectual properties is doing a great job.

Yeah, even if the game is not "too woke", this is the group behind it. This is the group who is actually profiting from the sales of the game. I frankly don't want to support such a group, they're knee deep in DEI, even if at the end the game turns out to the good.

I'm not dumb, so I know Embracer bought the IP/studio to do something with it. There is a 0% chance they allowed Warhorse to be Warhorse, given their very bad track record with other IPs and studios.

DEI is a plague on the business world in general. I didn't work hard in school so a person who got 50s on a test could get into better schools or hired for competitive jobs. Any non merit based policy is objectively worthless.

One the big red flags is that the devs dont have freedom of speech, they are clearly under contract and let this thing blow out of proportions with ambigous answers.
This whole drama could have been avoided when the leader of the dev team saw the rumors about saudi arabia.
From what i now, the devs still havent commented on the saudi arabia issues
