Correct me IF im wrong, Please.
I'm curious,

Are people mad over:
> A COC written by a community manager that isn't part of warhorse studios,
> Rumours of a same sex scene and a Coloured trader.
> And an ambiguous statement from Vavra.
Or did I miss something?

I'm not taking sides or anything, I still want to enjoy the game and am excited for it because I enjoy the time period and loved KCD I.

As for the same-sex scene, It was implied in KCD I that Istvan Toth was Gay,
IF it is in the second game However, Cut-scenes in general should be skippable as it is a game mechanic. SO they cannot make some skippable and some unskippable (or atleast wouldnt go out of their way to make only one scene unskippable).

They hate WH, they hate Vávra, they hate the KCD IP, and they are desperately hoping these last minute low effort propaganda posts will do enough harm to keep the game from once again setting records and making "their side" look even more like the trash it is. Losers.

Yeah that’s about it

basically there was a Twitter post about how the game was banned in Saudi Arabia due to an "immoral" scene.

because of people being generally clickbaity and sensationalist, immoral turned into gay sex scene, which turned into Henry being gay, to Henry either having sex with either Hans or a character from a rumored leak (the source being 4chan, so the authenticity is up for debate).

basically people assume the worst and get mad about the scenario they made up.
I decided not to get it due to their new policy that enables them to ban people for criticise by claiming its harassment, they have already started hiding reply's and deleting comments. I get some of it is harassment but not most of it.

There is rumor that Henry likes the COC
OP, it seems the timeline is this:
Article written about 3 days ago with vague and incorrect info and posted on X. Article retracted and updated within hours, but by then the incorrect info was doing the rounds. The original article removed anything regarding 'A Scene' and mentions DragonAge:Veilguard. The Publisher and Devs obviously read the gaming site article amendments and updated the CoC accordingly, leading to the stampede you are witnessing.
Only Endemion and the streamers he covers in his video have actually investigated. Every early code pre-review I've found has nothing but praise for the game. Almost every article mentioning 'The Scene' haven't had the time to read the article unfortunately, even though those amendments were made over 36 hours ago.
Some AI video has been posted. Some pictures have been doctored. Apparently I have a mental illness because I've posted about this for the last 6 hours.... It took me just 5 minutes to find and read the article myself, and that wound me up. It's just people messing about and having a laugh for clicks, but it's been factually incorrect throughout as far as can see.
I may be completely wrong, but my gut tells me otherwise, and now I'm feeling quite hungry.

Just to piggyback off this for clarification, the 4chan "leaks" allege that there is a Black character named "Musa of Mali, scholar, explorer, and physician" standing in what appears to be an infirmary tent of some kind. In the supposed "screenshots" this Musa claims Mali mines gold instead of silver and would never let outsiders into their mines, and that it is safer in Mali as no one would waylay you on the roads there, and that women are treated with more respect in Mali.
The problem that I have with these supposed screenshots, is that to my eyes (I am a retired indie game dev, with years of experience with different game engine generations) the assets being shown in them are 1) very limited, and more importantly 2) of a quality that does not match the asset quality we have seen from cutscenes and gameplay footage of KCD2, and looks closer to the asset quality of KCD1.

I have no idea if there is a black person in KCD2, but if there is I would be willing to bet it will not end up being a "Musa of Mali, scholar, explorer, and physician" in some random Bohemian camp. I would more likely buy that it would be a traveling Ethiopian in Kuttenburg or Prauge, or that such an interaction with such a person would take place outside of the "normal map" of Bohemia and instead takes place somewhere else (think similar to how in RDR2 there is that bit of story line that takes the player to a faraway island for a bit before bringng the player back to the regular open world again).

Also, the "unskippable gay sex" thing was completely made up. Multiple content creators have verified that the screenshots being spread around as "proof" are just poorly edited screenshots of a gameplay trailer for the game that inserts a fake quote of Sir Hans confessing his long held love for Henry when in the actual scene so such thing takes place at all.

Could this be the woke community making it appear woke so KCD2 would not do well? I have yet to see any solid proof/evidence.
We shall see.

These threads have been full of nothing but drivel about how 'woke' the game is, everything getting hidden or closed has been about that

We hate lies and censorship. If it was a lie then they would come and tell us the truth but they instead have a woke people to silence us. That doesn't look good.

The CM isnt a warhorse employee though, They belong to the publishing company that has no hand in development.

Ah, so the publishing company has no say on the developers game, and do not share in the profit?

Where did you learn business lol
i cant agree with their guide lines thing, it makes no sense, treat adults like adults, if someone wants to fight it out only way to gain closure is to fight it out, not physically or endanger anyone ofc but let them roast each other, whoever thought of moderators as a good thing was off his rocker. Adults specially men always settle their disputes straightforward man to man, this is how a strong mind is cultivated, overcoming adversity, or yall want a soy milk drinker pandemic, yes it effectively means moderators dont get to have a job or have a lower role such as actually look out for and protect minors etc

this whole sexism racism and the whole nine yards together as a sum of all parts reads like censorship, sure maybe dont be racist but let the other adult have at the assailant

They aren't rumours, the gay sex scene is confirmed by Vavra.

I think what people are annoyed with, is that it's clear that warhorse tried to hide this content. They tried to hide it until the 11th hour. THey tried to misrepresent the game. It is only when the leak from Saudi Arabia came, that the community guidelines were changed. This is because they were pushed to show their hand early. If the guidelines had this ♥♥♥♥ in them from months ago, then a lot of people would've been suspicious, and not preordered the game. This is also why previewers weren't allowed to go more than a certain way through the game.

So in summary
They have injected content into the game that their own actions demonstrate that they know people don't want. They then continued the charade and purposefully hid that content to solicit as many preorders as possible, and now, they are labelling the critics as "nazis" to try and shut them up, after previously promising to keep modern day politics and tropes out of their games.
