Taking out the parks, which have their own trouble, Disney is seriously hurting on the content production side. A huge number of their movies and shows over the last several years have barely broken even or actually lost money. Star Wars and Indiana Jones are pretty much dead. Marvel is failing, to the point they paid Robert Downy Jr. an insane amount of money to come back to the franchise. And their animated movies aren't doing much better.

Yeah, they have the occasional success, but that's not enough to pay for all their failures.

It's so bad the CEO was given the boot and there was an attempted shareholder revolt against the current one. Companies that are succeeding don't do that.

Don't confuse the fact that Disney still has a lot of revenue with it being successful. Even Disney personnel recognize the trend is not their friend.

Now I don't think Disney's struggles are because of wokeness per-se. I think is has more to do with terrible writing and storytelling. But the fundamental point is; Disney is not broke, but it is moving in that direction.
