(If CryEngine is like its older branch, it's a beast to do every little thing, and VR might not be something considered in its core design. UE does much better on both counts, but it has its own way of doing things. Because innovation requires people to be able to do things their own way, UE won't stop people from simply doing things wrong. Moving from another engine to UE is highly problematic for this reason... unless it's moving from/to Unity, a much easier transition.)
